Meet The Presenter.
Here at Ready, Set, Cook, we strive to bring all elements to your screens. This includes all genres such as comedy and competition with a side of informative lessons on how to improve your own cooking skills from home. To convey our message and entertain our audience to our best ability, our presenter Evie Laurie is sure to serve up the laughs whilst applying here expertise to all our chefs under pressure. We were able to interview Evie in order to get an inside scoop on our team and all their gossip.

What kind of person do you think you are?
I believe I am a good friend who pays attention to what people have to say. I always treat others with respect, care, dedication and love. I feel like in this type of work environment, treating people how you want to be treated is vital to a happy and healthy work life. I am also incredibly supportive, and family orientated, which I think are key values that help me live a positive, joyful life. My personality has definitely changed as I have grown and as I learn new things it shapes me as a person as I am a very work-orientated person and believe my work is my life and personally I wouldn't have it any other way.

What is your favourite, your current everyday priority in life, and why?
Every day I make my bed as soon as I get out of it. I believe that the first task of the day starts off my day with a bit of stability and routine. I follow a very strict routine of tasks every day so that I do not forget anything and have some structure for my day before arriving on set. However, I will admit, after being casted to present the show, my morning routine consisted of rolling out of bed, brushing my teeth and rushing to set. This method was not effective and I was always late, so my new routine has helped me to feel more refreshed and ready for the day.

Why did you choose to become a television presenter?
I feel like my career path was not really a definite choice, it all just kind of happened. I always wanted to work in media and producing, but I anticipated becoming either a show writer or director because I love playing a vital role in making the show come together and become real. However, one day when I got asked to present the show, I knew that this was the opportunity I had been waiting for and all my work had eventually paid off. Its such a passion of mine and I feel so honoured to be able to bring my personality and quirks to the screen for all viewers around the world to see.

Why do you think you are a person that people should listen to?
I believe I am a good influential person because I am a responsible head on young shoulders. I enjoy spreading joy around both my workplace and in my social life. I have a great group of friends who share my passion and also experience life in the limelight. My friends have made me who I am today and I don't think I would have the opportunities or goals and tasks for myself that I strive to accomplish. I also learnt to have this hopeful, ambitious lifestyle from my parents as they, themselves grew up with a passion for journalism and producing. This has inspired me to always work hard throughout life, but do not forget to always have fun.

Our 2024 Final Contestants.
The 2024 finalist event has officially been and gone for another year. With this years theme being ‘Colour!’ our 5 finalists were photographed with their competitors before the real competition begins in are live final airing on the 24th July. Our very own Ready, Set, Cook banquet night, where all chefs, contestants and judges gather for a press event. This event presents awards such as

-Passion and Determination Award
- Most Improved Award
- Time Efficiency Award
- Ambition Award
And finally, our Grand Final Winner Price is revealed at the end of the night, this prize changes each year and just keeps getting better!
